About Jon Allen
Jon Allen is fondly referred to by many clients as "a gentle catalyst for positive change". He listens deeply and offers a ministry of presence to people, companioning them as they discover clarity, calling and confidence for the change they want to make and the growth they seek.
After navigating his own career change more than 15 years ago - from general management and executive leadership positions in commercial banking and not-for-profit senior living communities to organizational consultant and professional coach - Jon found his true calling as a discernment and transition coach. Since 2003, Jon has successfully served many in his community as a Leadership Consultant and Career Coach, as well as a Certified Retirement Transition Coach and Trained Spiritual Director.
Jon is a Past President of the Board of The Wesley Community, a $40 million senior services agency that provides independent housing, assisted living and skilled nursing care on its campus in Saratoga Springs, NY. He previously served as Vice Chair of the Board for Northeast Parent & Child Society and was instrumental in the merger of Northeast with Parsons Child and Family Center which resulted in the creation of Northern Rivers Family Services Corporation, an $80 million parent company for Northeast and Parsons, both of which serve at risk youth and families throughout New York's Greater Capital Region.
Jon completed his MBA in Marketing and holds a bachelor’s degree in Management. He has completed numerous professional training programs, including work at the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) in Greensboro, NC. Jon has served as adjunct faculty for the Dowling College Graduate School of Business and is a qualified facilitator for CCL’s Executive 360 Instrument - SKILLSCOPE.
